The West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) basketball felled the visiting Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS), 57-47 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS). The Eagles go into the 1A Region 2 test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Tupelo Christian Prep was beaten by Smithville (Smithville, MS), 36-5, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Biggersville for a non-league test on Thursday, December 8. Pine Grove will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 58-51 league win over Wheeler (Wheeler, MS). The Lions record now stands at 6-1.
