In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Northwest Rankin Cougars soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Clinton Arrows.
The Cougars (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Tupelo (Tupelo, MS). The Golden Wave come into the non-league battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Tupelo nudged Saltillo (Saltillo, MS), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
