The Monta Vista Matadors basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Cupertino Pioneers to 34 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Matadors now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King's Academy for a contest on Wednesday, December 7.

The Pioneers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Palo Alto (Palo Alto, CA). The Vikings enter the contest with a 4-1 record.
