Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), 80-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Laney upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Buccaneers host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to play the Screaming Eagle in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Screaming Eagle go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Ashley won 43-29 in their recent non-league bout against New Bern (New Bern, NC)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Jack Britt will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 46-34 non-league loss to Red Springs (Red Springs, NC).
