East Bakersfield Blades (Bakersfield, CA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Blades face the Foothill Trojans (Bakersfield, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. East Bakersfield will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record.
The Spartans now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Porterville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 8. Strathmore will face a Panthers team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Kerman (Kerman, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-3.
