Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles (Pittsburgh, PA), 54-19 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Steel Valley upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Ironmen travel to Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA) to play the Eagles in a WPIAL 2A 3 bout on Thursday, December 14. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-0.

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Brentwood Spartans (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Keystone Oaks will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 52-46 non-league loss to South Side (Hookstown, PA).
