Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals (Warrensburg, IL), 61-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maroa-Forsyth upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Tri-Valley won 65-54 in their recent league bout against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Central A & M Raiders (Moweaqua, IL) in a Central Illinois bout, on Thursday, December 7. Warrensburg-Latham will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 34-26 non-league win over Athens (Athens, IL).
