Iowa High School Basketball - Columbus holds off East Marshall

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Columbus Sailors basketball team scored a close 67-65 triumph over the East Marshall Mustangs.
The Sailors (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA). The Falcons go into the North Iowa Cedar - East contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Aplington-Parkersburg nipped Webster City (Webster City, IA), 59-37, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Lynnville-Sully Hawks (Sully, IA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. East Marshall will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 62-58 league loss to Montezuma (Montezuma, IA).
