The Winthrop Ramblers basketball team scored 45 points and limited the host Dirigo Cougars to 44 in the Ramblers league triumph on Friday.

The Ramblers now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Monmouth Academy for a C South game on Monday, December 9. Winthrop will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 55-43 non-league loss to Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Dirigo falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Madison (Madison, ME) to confront the Bulldogs in a C South game on Monday, December 9. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 0-1. Madison lost 53-51 in their recent league game against Mount Abram (Strong, ME)
