The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS) and the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS), observed East Webster's basketball team edge South Pontotoc by a score of 63-56.

The Wolverines (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Commodores come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Lafayette was tipped by Oxford (Oxford, MS), 58-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 7. South Pontotoc will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record.
