In Friday's league contest, the host Rogers City Hurons basketball team scored a close 44-41 triumph over the Fairview Eagles.
The Hurons (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI). The Chiefs go into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Cheboygan nipped Kalkaska (Kalkaska, MI), 66-60, in a non-league contest.
