In Friday's league contest, the host Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins basketball team scored a big 78-9 triumph over the John Henry Wildcats.
The Griffins (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Leadership (Hayward, CA). The go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Leadership was trounced by Bentley (Lafayette, CA), 50-40, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the AIMS College Prep Golden Eagles (Oakland, CA) in a Bay Area Charter contest, on Monday, January 13. John Henry will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
