Texas High School Basketball - Troup nips Slocum

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Troup Tigers basketball team scored a close 47-44 win over the Slocum Mustangs.
The Tigers (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Chireno (Chireno, TX). The Owls come into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Chireno edged West Rusk (New London, TX), 59-32, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Gary Bobcats (Gary, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. Slocum will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 9-3 record after their 53-36 non-league win over Latexo (Latexo, TX).
