The Vikings (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Morehead (Eden, NC). The Panthers come into the 2A Mid-State challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Morehead was routed by Martinsville (Martinsville, VA), 43-28, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Camels encounter the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC) in a 3A Mid-State challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Atkins will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 55-44 non-league win over Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).
