Nebraska High School Basketball - Bertrand thwarts Axtell

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bertrand Vikings (Bertrand, NE) and the host Axtell Wildcats (Axtell, NE), observed Bertrand's basketball team knock off Axtell by a score of 34-24.

The Vikings (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Pleasanton was knocked off by Shelton (Shelton, NE), 63-32, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Silver Lake Mustangs (Roseland, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Axtell will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 44-18 non-league win over Deshler (Deshler, NE).
