The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chireno Owls (Chireno, TX) and the visiting West Rusk Raiders (New London, TX), observed Chireno's basketball team overwhelm West Rusk by a margin of 69-17.

The Owls (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region III District 24 challenge with a 0-9 record.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians (Jacksonville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 6. West Rusk will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Fightin' Indians come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 69-46 non-league win over Chireno (Chireno, TX).
