The Harbor Light Christian Swordsmen (Harbor Springs, MI) basketball edged the host Maplewood Baptist Academy Black Bears (Kinross, MI), 34-33 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Swordsmen now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Cedarville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 10. Harbor Light Christian will play a Trojans team coming off a 60-25 league win over Engadine (Engadine, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Maplewood Baptist Academy falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Black bears travel to Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI) to play the Black Bears in a Northern Lights bout on Tuesday, December 10. The Black Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-0.
