West Virginia High School Basketball - St. Albans holds off James Monroe

December 6, 2024: St. Albans, WV 25177

The St. Albans Red Dragons basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting James Monroe Mavericks to 45 in the Red Dragons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Red Dragons now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to George Washington for a Mountain State game on Friday, December 13. St. Albans will confront a Patriots team coming off a 66-57 non-league loss to University (Morgantown, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, James Monroe falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV) to confront the Knights in a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. The Knights go into the game with a record of 0-0.
