Azle Hornets (Azle, TX) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team thwart the host Polytechnic Parrots (Fort Worth, TX), 55-45 in a non-league contest.

The Hornets (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against South Hills (Fort Worth, TX). The Scorpions go into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, South Hills was toppled by Young Men's Leadership Academy (Fort Worth, TX), 72-46, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Parrots confront the Nimitz Vikings (Irving, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 11. Polytechnic will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record.
