In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Guyer Wildcats basketball team scored a close 52-49 triumph over the Episcopal Knights.

The Wildcats (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Coppell (Coppell, TX). The Cowboys go into the non-league contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Coppell got by Georgetown (Georgetown, TX), 59-32, in a non-league match.

The Knights now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lancaster for a non-league match on Friday, December 12. Episcopal will face a Tigers squad coming off a 66-53 non-league win over Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-6.
