Texas High School Basketball - Taft holds off Estacado

December 6, 2025: San Antonio, TX 78253

The Taft Raiders basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Estacado Matadors to 67 in the Raiders non-league victory on Saturday.

Next, the Raiders clash with the Ysleta Indians (El Paso, TX) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, December 6. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Indians enter the outing with a 4-7 record after their 51-22 non-league win over Bangs (Bangs, TX).

The Matadors (5-3) will now prepare for their game against Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Conquistadores go into the non-league game with a 3-8 record. In their last game, Del Valle was edged by Lake View (San Angelo, TX), 45-28, in a non-league game.
