The Granger Lions basketball squad (Granger, TX), was nudged 50-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Veritas Academy Defenders (Austin, TX)

With the victory, Veritas Academy advances its record to 7-8 on the season. The Defenders travel to Hill Country Christian School of Austin (Austin, TX) to battle the Knights in a TAPPS 4A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, December 9. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Hill Country Christian School of Austin won 69-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Round Rock Christian Academy (Round Rock, TX)

In their next game, the Lions battle the Moody Bearcats (Moody, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Granger will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 55-42 non-league win over Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX).
