Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Newton Tigers (Newton, MS), 80-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Neshoba Central advances its record to 5-4 on the year. The Rockets host Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 4-4. Northeast Lauderdale lost 46-43 in their recent non-league match against Provine (Jackson, MS)

The Tigers now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Kemper County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 12.
