The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. John XXIII Lions (Katy, TX) and the host Waller Bulldogs (Waller, TX), observed St. John XXIII's basketball team edge Waller by a score of 57-56.
The Lions (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX). The Pioneers enter the non-league battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Lutheran South Academy was nudged by Kinkaid (Houston, TX), 61-35, in a non-league battle.
The Bulldogs now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wisdom for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9.
