The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Widefield Gladiators (Colorado Springs, CO) and the visiting Air Academy Kadets (US Air Force Academy, CO), witnessed Widefield's basketball squad hold off Air Academy by a count of 57-56.

With the victory, Widefield advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Palmer Ridge (Monument, CO) to meet the Bears in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 11. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 1-0.

The Kadets now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elizabeth for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 18.
