Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX) backers were thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team topple the host Bowie Jackrabbits (Bowie, TX), 61-41 in a non-league game.

The Owls now have a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coahoma for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 6. Hale Center will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 62-31 non-league win over Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-1.

The Jackrabbits (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against Memorial (Wichita Falls, TX). The Mavericks enter the non-league outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Memorial ran past Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX), 52-49, in a non-league outing.
