The Manvel Mavericks basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Bowie Bulldogs to 48 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mavericks now possess a 18-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pasadena Memorial for a 6A Region III District 22 game on Tuesday, December 9. Manvel will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 40-39 league loss to Alvin (Alvin, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 6-8.
The Bulldogs (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Vandegrift (Austin, TX). The Vipers come into the non-league outing with a 12-4 record. In their last outing, Vandegrift held off Hays (Buda, TX), 54-43, in a non-league outing.
