The Bowie Jackrabbits basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Roosevelt Eagles to 50 in the Jackrabbits non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Jackrabbits now have a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Memorial for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 9. Bowie will clash with a Mavericks squad coming off a 52-49 non-league win over Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 5-9.

The Eagles (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Friona (Friona, TX). The Chieftans go into the 3A Region I District 2 game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Friona was edged by Borden County (Gail, TX), 63-54, in a non-league game.
