New Mexico High School Basketball - Cleveland thwarts Miyamura

December 6, 2025: Gallup, NM 87301

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) and the host Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM), observed Cleveland's basketball squad run past Miyamura by a count of 54-43.

With the victory, Cleveland advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Storm travel to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM) to meet the Demons in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9. The Demons enter the battle with a record of 2-1. Santa Fe lost 51-37 in their recent non-league battle against Farmington (Farmington, NM)

The Patriots now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Navajo Prep for a non-league battle on Monday, December 8. Miyamura will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 56-39 non-league loss to Shiprock (Shiprock, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
