The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Coahoma Bulldogs (Coahoma, TX) and the host Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX), observed Coahoma's basketball team edge Hale Center by a margin of 44-40.

The Bulldogs (9-1) will now prepare for their match against Compass Academy (Odessa, TX). The Cougars enter the 3A Region I District 3 match with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Compass Academy was tipped by Ozona (Ozona, TX), 52-18, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Owls confront the Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 9. Hale Center will attempt to better on its 12-1 season record. The Whirlwinds go into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 60-26 non-league loss to Coahoma (Coahoma, TX).
