Denison Yellow Jackets (Denison, TX) backers went home pleased Saturday as they observed their basketball team topple the visiting Valley View Eagles (Valley View, TX), 61-50 in a non-league game.

The Yellow Jackets now have a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Walnut Grove for a 5A Region II District 9 game on Tuesday, December 16. Denison will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 38-24 non-league win over Heritage (Frisco, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-3.

The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Savoy (Savoy, TX). The Cardinals enter the non-league outing with a 1-11 record. In their last outing, Savoy was defeated by Trenton (Trenton, TX), 41-40, in a non-league outing.
