The June Buchanan Crusaders basketball squad (Pippa Passes, KY), was crushed 64-33 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Portland Christian Eagles (Louisville, KY)

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Presentation (Louisville, KY). The Toppers come into the District 25 contest with a 1-2 record.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Letcher County Central Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) in a District 53 contest, on Monday, December 8. June Buchanan will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 53-29 non-league win over Lee (Jonesville, VA).
