    • New Mexico High School Basketball - Monument Valley defeats Thoreau

    December 6, 2025: Thoreau, NM 87323

    The Monument Valley Cougars (Monument Valley, UT) basketball were winner over the host Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), 62-45 in Saturday's non-league bout.

    The Cougars now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Many Farms for a non-league bout on Monday, December 8. Monument Valley will play a Lobos team coming off a 57-43 non-league win over St. Michael (St. Michaels, AZ). The Lobos record now stands at 3-2.

    With the loss, Thoreau falls to 1-3 on the season. The Hawks travel to Aztec (Aztec, NM) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league test on Tuesday, December 9. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-0. Aztec won 58-28 in their recent non-league test against Cuba (Cuba, NM)
