Illinois High School Basketball - Plainfield South toppled by Normal Community

Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball team topple the visiting Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL), 50-40 in a non-league game.

The Ironmen now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Rock Island for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 9. Normal Community will confront a Rocks team coming off a 60-26 league win over East Moline United (East Moline, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 5-2.

The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against DeKalb (DeKalb, IL). The Barbs enter the non-league outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, DeKalb ran past South Elgin (South Elgin, IL), 50-39, in a non-league outing.
