The Avant Garde Academy Sharks basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Academy for Innovative Education Aviators to 40 in the Sharks non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Sharks now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somerset Academy Key for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Avant Garde Academy will battle a Lions team coming off a 67-23 non-league win over International Studies (Hollywood, FL). The Lions record now stands at 2-5.

The Aviators (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Somerset Academy Central Miramar (Miramar, FL). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Somerset Academy Central Miramar was defeated by Franklin Academy (Pembroke Pines, FL), 55-51, in a non-league contest.
