The Calico Rock Pirates (Calico Rock, AR) basketball crushed the host Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR), 71-45 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Pirates (10-6) will now prepare for their test against Shirley (Shirley, AR). The Blue Devils go into the 1A Region 2 test with a 15-4 record. In their last test, Shirley walloped Timbo (Timbo, AR), 66-47, in a league test.
The Cavemen now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Tuckerman for a 3A Region 2 test on Tuesday, December 13. Cave City will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 53-44 league win over Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-3.
