The Black Bears now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perry County Central for a non-league battle on Friday, December 9. Harlan County will confront a Commodores team coming off a 80-63 non-league win over Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Commodores record now stands at 2-1.

The Patriots (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY). The Cougars / Lady Cougars come into the District 53 battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Letcher County Central trounced Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA), 62-48, in a non-league battle.
