Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA), 69-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nooksack Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Bellingham (Bellingham, WA) to play the Red Raiders in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Saturday, December 10. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Bellingham lost 60-49 in their recent league bout against Blaine (Blaine, WA)

Next up, the Cubs play the Lynden Christian Lyncs (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Friday, December 9. Sedro-Woolley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Lyncs come into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 81-37 league win over Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA).
