Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) and the visiting Chartiers Valley Colts (Bridgeville, PA), saw Armstrong's basketball squad hold off Chartiers Valley by a tally of 53-46.

With the victory, Armstrong improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The River Hawks travel to Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA) to confront the Titans in a WPIAL 5A 2 challenge on Thursday, December 15. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Colts confront the South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 12. Chartiers Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 74-44 non-league win over Bethel Park (Bethel Park, PA).
