North Carolina High School Basketball - Patton can't hold off Maiden

The Maiden Blue Devils basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Patton Panthers to 41 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Stephens for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Maiden will battle a Indians team coming off a 58-53 non-league loss to Avery County (Newland, NC). The Indians record now stands at 3-2.
The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Freedom was nudged by Hickory (Hickory, NC), 47-26, in a non-league contest.
