In Thursday's non-league match, the host Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds basketball team scored a decisive 71-34 triumph over the Bracken County Polar Bears.
In their next game, the Thoroughbreds meet the Campbell County Camels (Alexandria, KY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 9. Newport Central Catholic will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record.
