Kentucky High School Basketball - Newport crushes Dixie Heights

December 7, 2023: Edgewood, KY 41017

Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY) backers were content Thursday as they observed their basketball team smash the host Dixie Heights Colonels (Edgewood, KY), 53-24 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Covington Catholic Colonels (Park Hills, KY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 9. Newport will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Colonels enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 87-39 non-league win over St. Henry (Erlanger, KY).

With the defeat, Dixie Heights moves to 2-2 on the year. The Colonels travel to Holmes (Covington, KY) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 12. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 0-3.
