Texas High School Basketball - Santa Gertrudis Academy knocked off by Edinburg North

The Edinburg North Cougars basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions to 44 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Isabel for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Edinburg North will battle a Tarpons team coming off a 72-44 non-league win over IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX). The Tarpons record now stands at 6-5.

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against La Feria (La Feria, TX). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, La Feria was defeated by Miller (Corpus Christi, TX), 81-18, in a non-league contest.
