Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA), 78-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland Baptist Christian upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Bears travel to Episcopal of Acadiana (Cade, LA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Episcopal of Acadiana won 73-56 in their recent non-league bout against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA)

Next up, the play the North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Westminster Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 34-31 non-league loss to Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA).
