Humble Wildcats (Humble, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX), 65-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Humble upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to West Brook (Beaumont, TX) to play the Bruins in a 6A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, December 15. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 10-2. West Brook won 68-61 in their recent non-league bout against Madison (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Indians play the College Station Cougars (College Station, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Port Neches-Groves will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 66-42 non-league loss to Lufkin (Lufkin, TX).
