Hurley Rebels (Hurley, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA), 63-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hurley upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Rebels host Tolsia (Fort Gay, WV) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Tolsia lost 70-53 in their recent non-league bout against Greenup County (Greenup, KY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Tazewell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Golden Wave come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 70-62 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
