The Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN) basketball nipped the visiting Montevideo Thunderhawks (Montevideo, MN), 54-50 in Thursday's league test.

The Cardinals (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Windom (Windom, MN). The Eagles go into the AA Section 3 test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Windom got by Westbrook-Walnut Grove (Westbrook, MN), 74-71, in a non-league test.
