The Morenci Wildcats basketball team scored 56 points and held the host St. Johns Redskins to 35 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wildcats now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alchesay for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Morenci will battle a Falcons team coming off a 55-52 non-league loss to Safford (Safford, AZ). The Falcons record now stands at 2-5.
The Redskins (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Joseph City triumphed over Valley (Sanders, AZ), 45-36, in a non-league contest.
