The Clovis Cougars (Clovis, CA) basketball crushed the host El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), 61-40 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cougars (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Lemoore (Lemoore, CA). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Lemoore was trounced by Clovis West (Fresno, CA), 41-22, in a non-league test.
The Gauchos now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Clovis West for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. El Capitan will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 83-27 non-league win over Mission Oak (Tulare, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 4-0.
