The Del Oro Golden Eagles basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Nevada Union Miners to 22 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Twelve Bridges for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Del Oro will battle a Raging Rhinos team coming off a 60-58 non-league win over Rio Americano (Sacramento, CA). The Raging Rhinos record now stands at 5-2.

The Miners (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bear River (Grass Valley, CA). The Bruins enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Bear River triumphed over Gridley (Gridley, CA), 62-44, in a non-league contest.
